What we did with the " BURGERS"

Are you having a hard time writing quick responses that you have to turn in to your teacher? Well, did you know that you can get ideas from a Burger? Can you believe that a Burger can hook us up with writing responses? Well, if you want a Burger, read on!

First we call this burger the Answer Sandwich!

This burger can teach you how to write well organized and detailed responses your teacher would love. A burger basically has a bun, meat, cheese and last but not least, the bottom bun. And each of them has a job. The top buns job is to restate the question and write the general, or gist, answer. Secondly, the meats job is to provide evidence for the answer. Some sentence starters would be the following:
- To begin with ... -For instance...
-Then... -Furthermore...
-Next... -However...
-For example... -Finally...
-The text says,

My favorite sentence starter is the text says because, I can grab any evidence from the text right away if I need to.

Next, The cheese's job will be a short reflection of the meat. Some sentence starters are:
-This quote shows… -This picture shows…

Lastly, the bottom buns job is to refer to the question again for a concluding statement. There are some sentence starters for the following:
-That is how... -For this reason...
-That is why... -Therefore...
-As a result... -In conclusion...

My favorite sentence starter is in conclusion because you can conclude and just finish up your response!

Finally, You have learned how to do the answer sandwich! Next time, please try to use this program for your responses and everything would go through smooth and easy. You won’t be that kid who is wasting your teachers time and space.

By the way, my name is Skye. I am 11 years old and I love dancing hula and Tahitian. I am Japanese and American. I can speak two languages and I am willing to learn two more languages which is Spanish and Chinese. Last but not least, my favorite food is pasta!
