FIREDRILL!

Have you ever wondered what it is like to have a fire drill at Keone' ula Elementary?

    Well, when you have a fire drill here, you don't shoot up out of your seat and rush out the door and off campus; in fact you don't go off campus at all.

When you hear the ringing of the fire drill, you calmly stand up out of your seat, push in your chair, and WALK QUICKLY to your designated area.

Why do we push in our chairs? Wouldn't that take longer?
Actually, you need to push in your chair so your classmates don't trip or fall, and have a hard time getting to the designated area.

Where do you go?
Usually, while we are in class, we take a route through F building, and go on to the recess field. If we are in during lunch, we go to the Basketball Court. 

But a cool thing is--they try to trick us. If we were in the library, and we had a fire drill, but the door was blocked off, where do you think we would go? We would go the back door. Or if we were in a different classroom, like Music, we would also go through the back door as well. 

Tip Time!

Try your best to go to the bathroom, during recess, lunch, and before and after school. What if you were in the bathroom and the fire drill went off? What would you do? I would hurry out and join the line of classmates at the designated area.
