MyOn

Have you ever had to read a book that you didn't like? Was it a book that was assigned to you? If you experienced this, then I know the perfect website that you should check out! The website is called MyOn. On this website, there is a wide variety of books. The best part is that you can choose any book! If you want to know more about this website, read on.

First, you need to log on. Next, after you log on, you will be at the home of the website. At the home, you can look at all the type of genres of books you can read. What you need to do is look at one of the tabs like “Recently Read Books”. Or you can search for books by title or genre. When you go to one of these things, a bunch of books will show up. If you click one of the books, it will show things like a short summary of the book, reviews, and more information. These are the things you will see on MyOn. Read on to know more about this website.

Next, once you click the "Read Now" button, you will be able to read the book. There are controls that I will talk about. The controls are seen on the bottom. Some of the controls are the exit, full screen, and the highlighted word or sentence button. You click the exit button if you want to exit the book. If you want to enlarge the screen, press the full screen button. Finally, in the highlighted word or sentence button, you press either one or both of these buttons to highlight the words or sentences. This helps you know where you are at. There are also arrow buttons on the side. Press these buttons when you need to go to the next page. These are some of the main controls. Read on to find about the last thing about MyOn.

Finally, I will talk about the review and book quiz. In these parts, you might have to rate the book you were reading. You will also have to type on why you rated the book. There is also the book quiz. During this mini quiz, you answer about five questions that are related to the book you read.

When you do this, you have to be Thinkers. You have to be Thinkers because you need to know certain things or remember things that happened in the book to answer the questions. These are the things about the review and book quiz.

Thank you for reading about my blog about MyOn. I hope this was very interesting to you especially to those who love reading their own books. Blurb: I really love reading many types of books!

RIP Bluey The Crayfish

RIP Bluey The Crayfish

On November 2013, our class pet Bluey died.

Bluey was first introduced to H-102 on August 5th 2013. It was the first day of school. We were all so excited to see him because he wasn't just any crayfish, he was blue (the name says it all)! Those kids are very RARE!

Most crayfish are red. Bluey wasn't the nicest class pet, but he really meant a lot to us. He would always try to touch our fingers with his claws when we changed his water and when we tried to feed him. He was very quiet and mysterious. He never really interacted with Rocky (our turtle), but you can tell that they had a strong connection. Bluey was a good sport and will be dearly missed.

On the day that Bluey died, we had a funeral outside our class for him. We all had a time to be REFLECTIVE and remind ourselves about the memories that were shared throughout the 3 months Bluey was alive.

We all wrote down all our memories with him and what we taught of him. Our teacher told us that the writing piece was called a EULOGY. Many of our classmates were really hurt by his death and wrote a really touching paper about him. While students were reading what they wrote, students dug a hole in the ground for Bluey.

In the meantime, Jillian and Jayde were practicing on a song while Bluey was going to be carried to his grave. When the hole was finished, we all got into a line. Keoki slowly walked to the hole. Jillian and Jayde played the SLOW version on Jingle Bells (that’s all they knew how to play).

When Bluey was placed in his whole, students covered his grave slowly. Once the hole was patted down, there was a moment of silence. We all closed our eyes and hoped that Bluey was in a great place. It was a really depressing and shocking day for all of us. We still visit his grave everyday wishing that he was still alive. He will be greatly remembered by our class. We really miss him!
