Kupuna Morrow-Learning about Hawaiian Culture!

Do you like to learn about many interesting Hawaiian histories and beliefs? We are so lucky because we get to learn from our Kupuna Marrow! In this blog, I will tell you three things I found interesting from her stories, about the islands, and beliefs.

First of all, I was very interested about Pele; the fire goddess. When I first heard the story, it made me want to hear more about it because she is the volcano goddess. She controls the volcanoes-she decides if they will erupt or not. She is one of the most known goddess in Hawaii.

Secondly, my favorite time during Hawaiian studies is when we get to do arts and crafts activities such as the dancing Santa. I enjoyed crafting with the class while listening to Kupuna's stories.

Lastly, my most favorite thing during Hawaiian studies is when we dance traditional hula and even sing traditional songs too. I sometimes have the anxiety in myself but I sometimes just have fun doing these fun activities with my classmates.

In conclusion, these were my three favorite things at Hawaiian studies and I hope to learn more and do more fun activities this school year.
