Valentine's Day
Valentines Day is the day of love. Chocolates
are handed to you, love letters are read, and there is LOVE in the air. There
is a history of how Valentine's Day got started.
It all started in
Rome. The Roman god of love, St. Valentinus was celebrated in AD 496. This
holiday is celebrated in Finland, Estonia, France, Greece, India, Iran, Israel,
Japan, Latin American, Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Scandinavia, Singapore,
South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, USA, and Wales. WOW, that is a lot of countries!
many more places are adapting cultural holidays like this one.
On this holiday,
you need to show the IB Learner Profile, Caring. You need to be caring because
you are thinking about people who are special to you. The candies is another
part of Valentine's day. The candies resembles the sweetness of love. Pretty
cool huh? This kind of tradition is a loving one, one of my favorites--how
about you?
Blurb about Diesel: Valentine's day is one of my favorite holidays because of the chocolates & candies!
