Hello fantastic people! How
are you today? My day today is super fantastic! Well first of all, you are
probably wondering who I am! Well today is your lucky day because I'm going to
tell you! My name is Kiilehua but mostly everybody calls me Ki'i! My
favorite color is teal! What is your name and your favorite color?
Well today I'm blogging
about this fantastic place we went to for our 6th grade field trip. We went to
HTY! Wait--you're probably wondering what HTY stands for. Well guess what? I'm
going to tell you! H stands for Honolulu, T stands for theater, and Y stands
for youth! We saw a play called......ICARUS! You are wondering what it was
about and who Incarus is right? Well if you want to know, keep reading!
Well first of all, Icarus is
a thirteen year old boy and he is Greek. He lives with his father who is an inventor
for the king. Icarus' father also creates weapons, but not for the king
because he is afraid that the king will use it against his people. The King is
upset because he and his wife were expecting to have a baby boy but a girl was
born. He became so angry that he
murdered the queen after she gave birth to the baby. So he talked to Icarus' dad
to build a dungeon for his daughter. But for many years, the king had been
lying to his daughter and told her that she was half bull! So for about two
years, she had been locked up and told that she was a Minotaur! A Minotaur is a
mythological creature with horns like a bull. Please keep reading there is more
to the story!
So as soon as Icarus found
out, he became so angry and he wanted to help. In the end, everyone was freed
from the lies of the King.
This relates to an IB attitude. It is Tolerance. You need to be tolerant of everyone!
HEY! Guess what? I had an onolicious lunch! Onolicious means delicious in Hawaiian. I had a chicken and spam musubi. I also had chips and water. Since my mom was chaperoning I'll tell you what she had. She had a bowl of chow fun from Panda Express. We were so full from that onolicious food!
I felt very excited from the time my mom signed the field trip permission form because I love to go on field trips! I also felt very informed from the play because it taught us about the Greeks myths. I wouldn't mind going again! See you later! Bye!
