What color is your school uniform?
Our school’s uniform is RED. Now this wasn't
just a random chosen color; it actually means something.
Our school is named
Keone'ula because of what it was built on. Before our school was built, there
was a very vast area of red sand or dirt. In Hawaiian, Keone'ula means red sand
so that is why they made our school uniform red.
Other schools also have
reasons why they chose a certain color for their shirt but ours just happens to
be based on a substance our school was built on.
Our uniform also consists of our school name and
mascot; THE SABER CUB. This was chosen by the students The mascot also shows
how we were little cubs, to becoming a TIGER in the end at Campbell High
school!! This really helps us be more REFLECTIVE and intelligent too.
Now, let’s get into why schools have uniforms. Uniforms
isn't just for fashion; it is for safety and for school spirit. Uniforms
indicate whether or not a student goes to our school. Without these uniforms, random and dangerous
people can roam around our campus without us knowing it.
Wearing this uniform
also shows school spirit because we are telling people that we are proud that
we are Keone'ula Cubs and that we are learning more and more! We always keep an
OPEN MIND for new things to learn. That is what a cub of Keone'ula does!
I hope that you all became a little educated
about the "history" of our school and I hope that you can share what
your uniform looks like! See ya later!
